Close to 90 participants attended the sixth Forum “Clinical Research” on 27 January 2016 in Bern. The SCTO invited leading experts including patients and patient representatives to share their views on the subject “Involvement of patients and the public in clinical research”.

How do others deal with this topic? To what extent is such cooperation in Switzerland already existing? What do the persons concerned think about clinical research and the commitment that they could make? These questions were addressed in several short presentations. Different stakeholders then discussed their roles and possibilities as to the involvement of patients and the public in clinical research.
