Over 80 experts attended the Forum “Clinical Research” on 29 January 2014 in Bern, organised for the fourth time by the Swiss Clinical Trial Organisation (SCTO).

The environment of clinical research is experiencing a great change both nationally and internationally. Switzerland is increasingly losing its attraction as a (clinical) research location. What are possible future scenarios and what do potential constructive solutions look like?

In the first part of the forum, important representatives of academic clinical research, pharmaceutical industry and authorities expressed their views on this topic. The second interactive part of the event was dedicated to discussions, followed by an update on the implementation of the new law on research involving humans.
